Can you feel it?? Can you hear the roar of a generation of music sung from the heart, that challenges your mind and touches your soul?? Can you understand the songs of artists who say what no one dares to say?? Can you see the flare on people's eyes as they jump and sing to the sound of a new era? What you are feeling, hearing, seeing, and thinking about, is Spanish Rock! And if you think this is just a phase, then read on, because this newsletter will tell you why now there is no stopping! Before we go into specifics, let me just say that the biggest underground Spanish Rock circuit on the East Coast of the United States is in the works... yeah, there's no stopping! On Friday, July 17th, The Plaza Theatre hosted one of the most meaningful shows for the Spanish Rock movement in Florida, featuring SONIKO, URBEPRIMA, LATE MESSENGERS, & VERSUSNOVA . If you were there, you also felt the amazing energy that surrounded the event, and all of the awesome people who were a part of it, who came together to witness and be part of a movement that is escalating like never before. On Saturday, July 4th, VERSUSNOVA rocked the house @ Churchill's Pub in Miami @ the July Rock Kulture event. Also on Saturday, July 25th, URBEPRIMA, LATE MESSENGERS, and Grammy nominees ORIGEN, shared the stage @ POPROX, an awesome new venue that is welcoming the sounds of underground Spanish Rock!! Bands such as HUMA ROJO, MINIMAL, URBEPRIMA, LATE MESSENGERS, MONTEROSA and many more now have a new channel of exposure! URBEPRIMA's experience at this year's LAMC 2009 was amazing!!! We meet so many amazing people and learned so much at the panels of the conference, all while witnessing some pretty amazing shows. On top of that, yours truly got a chance to perform at the last show of the conference, opening @ D'Antigua for MINIMAL, LOS HOLLYWOOD, SUPERSAM, & KOFRE!!! Besides being in BOOM Magazine's 2009 LAMC edition and compilation, which was distributed @ the conference, URBEPRIMA made connections that will strengthen the movement like never before. In other news, this Saturday, August 8th, AKA Lounge will once again let the sounds of Spanish Rock roar through the night as VERSUSNOVA, KAPSULA, SIGNO NATA, & PARAFANELIA take the stage!!!!!
