| URBEPRIMA GOES TO LAMC! Urbeprima will be @ LAMC [Latin Alternative Music Conference] this year, promoting and networking, and is going to be part of BOOM Magazine's LAMC edition and compilation for the conference!! This is a very important week for Urbeprima; we have come a long way, and are ready to represent Orlando in the most important event for Spanish Rock in the USA.
BOOM is the most important magazine for Spanish Rock in the USA. Enrique Posada, its director and founder, has been of utmost importance for the Spanish Rock movement throughout the years. To find out where you can get this awesome publication go to: www.boomonilne.com On other news, on June 6th 2009 @ the legendary Churchill's Pub, Minimal , Huma Rojo and Urbeprima, threw a sonic blast in the streets of Miami, which marked a trascendent day for Spanish Rock, and a night where lost brothers were found. The professionalism and quality of every band performing that night, reminded everyone why Churchill's is the Temple of Rock in Miami, and why Spanish Rock is growing with more force than ever. This event, called Rock Kulture, will take place the first Saturday of every month @ Churchill's, and this time around, VERSUSNOVA will take the stage! Thanks to Alejandro, booking agent @ Churchill's Pub, for making this event happen! Also, on Friday, July 17th @ Gibson, Jack Daniel's and The Plaza Theatre present the best underground Spanish Rock band from Miami, SONIKO. sharing stage with the best of Orlando, URBEPRIMA, LATE MESSENGERS, & VERSUSNOVA. Cost:$8 pre-sale - $10 at the door. For pre-sale tickets, go to www.theplazatheatrelive.com, or call (407) 228 1220. ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT SHOWS FOR FLORIDA’S SPANISH ROCK MOVEMENT, YOU DO NOT WANNA MISS IT!!!!! We will be @ WPRK 95.1 FM [Rollings College Radio] on Thursday, July 16th on the Rock en Espa~ol USA show, promoting this event, and will perform live while interviewing SONIKO, so, don't forget to tune in!!! As if this wasn't enough, on July 25th, a new venue @ Miami Beach, POPROX, opens its doors to Spanish Rock, where URBEPRIMA, LATE MESSENGERS, & VERSUSNOVA will represent Orlando and share stage with local Miami bands, ratifying the power of our music!!
Urbeprima has always tried to make people think and open their eyes to the situations that affect us all, and help in any way possible to the people who try to make a difference. Simon, drummer for Urbeprima, wrote a note about the current situation in Peru, where, despite the cry of thousands of peruvians who are trying to save their land, the government is letting its guard down and leaving the forests and jungles unprotected, much to the benefit of the oil and mining companies. If you'd like to be informed about the things the news don't tell you, check out this blog: http://blogs.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.ListAll As we have been promising, Urbeprima's 1st music video is on the way, and will be finished very soon!!! Can you guess what song the video is about?? let us know what you think. You can see awesome live video footage of our performance @ GRP Studios @ www.youtube.com/urbeprima We also wanted to let you know that you can listen to us and request our music on WPRK 95.1 FM [Rollings College Radio], on Sundy nights @ 11PM on Native Noise WJRR 101.1 FM [Real Rock], and that you can get our music on iTunes and CDBABY , links are below:
