| URBEPRIMA NEWS: MAY 2009 The Domino effect continues What a crazy last couple of months it has been! our voice is being heard and now you'll be able to find this newsletter @ www.nativorock.com & www.boomonline.com !! Yes!! New iniciatives and ideas have emerged from all of the awesome people who live and are part of the Spanish Rock movement, including the lauch of a web-magazine called "Rockanrola", which will serve as a vehicle to showcase all of the the people and things revolving around the movement in Florida. Interviews to local and outside bands, people in the industry, updates in shows, movies, venues, events, ecology, and even a vox-populi section, are some of the features of this new project, created to reinforce and divulge what the Spanish Rock movement is all about. On Thursday, April 30th, 2009, we had an amazing show @ The Plaza Theatre, featuring international artist Monte*Rosa, who filled the air with songs from his new album "12 Historias en 3 Tonos", and some of his oldies, which made everyone stand-up, sing and dance to his music. Monte*Rosa expressed his sincere thanks and happiness in finding such an awesome environment for his music and so many good vibes surrounding the show. Also, superb performances by locals Kapsula and Versusnova were the perfect preamble for Urbeprima's sonic blast! The night was filled with all the amazing support and energy of the audience, who never fails us, and makes us stronger. If you'd like to see what you missed, you can see live footage of the show @ http://www.musicbuzzy.com/ and click on the BuzzTV icon. Special thanks to the guys from Versusnova and Kapsula, for making this broadcast posible. Also, on Monday, April 27th, 2009, Late Messengers, Versusnova, Gabkas, Siz, Sky Lake, and from Puerto Rico, the band Bajo Tierra, were the protagonists of the Choque de Bandas Tour, in which the guys from Versusnova were crowned champions of the night; once again, the support of the audience ratified the great moment we are going through! This event was put hosted by Pharaohs Entertainment, AC Productions, Nemesis E&P @ ROLL BAR ORLANDO. A special shout out to Noelia Maldonado, Tomas Gomez, and Marina, thanks for being so awesome and for joining forces with the Spanish Rock bands to make it happen for all of us! On a different note, we wanted to let you know about Urbeprima's upcoming music video, which we finished shooting, and now are ready to start editing; can you guess what song we're using for this video? Let us know your prediction. Also, for those of you who don't yet know, The LAMC (Latin Alternative Music Conference) is happening this summer in New York City on July and it is celebrating its 10th aniversary this year. Urbeprima will be creating new connections and relationships in this year's festival, which is probably a very good idea for any serious Spanish Rock band; bring lots of cd's press kits and . LAMC is the only major conference geared towards the marketing of Spanish-language alternative music - the voice of today's Latinos. This four-day event providing networking opportunities with the genre's leading artists, label executives, journalists, managers, retailers and programmers, is the most extensive gathering of Latinos in entertainment to be offered by a music conference to date. Over 30,000 music lovers and industry insiders attended LAMC concerts, parties and art exhibits, at great venues in New York and Los Angeles. Lastly, we would like to thank Rock en Español USA, Nativo Rock and Boom Magazine for all of the amazing support they have given us and all of the local Orlando bands. We also wanted to let you know that you can listen to us and request our music on WPRK 95.1 FM [Rollings College Radio], on Sundy nights @ 11PM on Native Noise WJRR 101.1 FM [Real Rock], and that you can get our music on iTunes and CDBABY , links are below:
